Michael Jackson’s Doctor Charged With MURDER – Right or Wrong?

24 Aug

Did you hear the news?

Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been formally charged with murder by the LAPD.

Here’s the story from The Smoking Gun:

“Lethal Levels” Of Drug Killed Jackson

AUGUST 24–A search warrant affidavit sworn by a Los Angeles detective provides a detailed account of the police probe into the death of Michael Jackson, whose doctor told cops that he had been treating the pop star’s insomnia by intravenously administering the powerful anesthetic propofol in the weeks before Jackson’s June 25 death. The affidavit of LAPD Detective Orlando Martinez was included in a search warrant application filed last month in Houston, Texas, where Dr. Conrad Murray maintained an office and a storage unit. A copy of Martinez’s affidavit, prepared last month, can be found below. Murray, reportedly the subject of a criminal probe stemming from Jackson’s death, told investigators that he “felt that Jackson may have been forming an addiction to” propofol, and tried to “wean Jackson off the drug.” The affidavit notes that Jackson “was very familiar with the drug and referred to it as his ‘milk.’” The affidavit also quotes an L.A. coroner’s official saying that preliminary toxicology results showed that “Jackson’s cause of death was due to lethal levels of propofol.” The coroner has classified Jackson’s death a homicide, according to a law enforcement source cited today by the Associated Press, which reported that the ruling makes it “more likely” that criminal charges will be filed against the 56-year-old Murray.

Dr. Murray obviously played a role in Michael Jackson’s death, but does his action constitute a charge of murder?

Was Michael simply a victim, or should a certain level of responsibility rest with him as well?

I’m a bit torn on this one - what do you think?

I believe that the Doctor is responsible for the death of Mr. Jackson. He took an oath and did not uphold it. It was his responsibility as a doctor to say NO to a patient who was potentialy an addict.

    Dear readers,

Please try to understand that no matter how guilty Dr. Murray either is or isn’t, our dear MJ cannot be entirely free of guilt in his own death.

    End point.

Yes, the doctor is guilty of giving him the Propofol which he clearly never should have, but Michael would have simply hired another flunkie to do his bidding, because, in his own mind, he was “The King Of Pop, and The King gets what he wants”…end of subject, period.

    Can anyone refute this?

Therefore, unless there were parties involved with his death other than Dr. Murray, it would appear to me from a layman’s point of view after having studied the situation fairly thoroughly over the months since his extremely unfortunate demise that this is clearly a case of an (un?)-consciously and (un?)-intended assisted Suicide coupled with an Accidental Homicide.

This point would only be questionable if Mr. Murray would have been hired by a third party, but this was not the case. (Note: I said “Hired” not “Paid”. Murray was indeed being PAID by a third party, but he was HIRED by Mr. Jackson himself).

Again, concerning Mr. Murray, as he was clearly the sole individual caring for Mr. Jackson, the fault for the most part would on the outside of it appear to definitely incriminate him almost beyond any possible doubt, but Michael himself had several very heavy factors pushing him out of this world…namely the following:

    1. The extreme humiliation he suffered from his Child Molestation trial.

I personally believe that he never truly recovered from this, and also it is likely that he very possibly seriously considered committing suicide during the trial…(who wouldn’t consider it in this extreme of a situation, and especially at his level of worldwide celebrity?).

    2. The Money.

MJ owed more money than some governments do!

He was flat-out embarrassed in the most public of ways by being perceived as being broke, and he did not feel good about this AT ALL, which is now a well-documented fact.

    3. His apparent inability to surpass even his own glittering achievement of making the Thriller album.

Think about it for a minute.

    OVER 100 MILLION ALBUMS SOLD!

The word “WOW” is an extreme understatement in a case like this!

He obviously spent the remainder of his life trying to catch up to himself, a goal that would never materialize…yes, not even Michael Jackson could beat Michael Jackson in the end, no matter how many facelifts and nosejobs he got or Moonwalks he did, or even tubes of skin lightener he used.

I believe sincerely that he probably felt, “What’s the use of living anymore if even I can’t outdo myself”?

    4. His own private knowledge of his now documented and obviously insurmountable drug addiction, which was slowly making it’s way into the media, a factor which he could in no way control anymore like he did back in the day.

Things like this can not only weaken a person physically, which he tried to combat by eating mostly very healthy foods prepared by his private chef, but mentally, turning the individual into an inwardly depressed and extremely unhappy person. Can this fact now be doubted about MJ?

    Bad scene!

And last but not least, (I could actually find more solid points to reveal, but I believe that this last one is the final straw that broke the Lama’s back):

    5. The real killer…his own belief that he was Peter Pan whom in his mind could never grow old.

Michael so deeply identified with the character of Peter Pan, which was largely the most key factor which endeared him to the children of the world to whom he sang for his entire life, that the idea of becoming “An Adult” or “A Grown Up”, simply mortified him in a way that most of us will quite simply NEVER understand.

But to him, this meant virtually everything, as attested to by the amounts of money that he continued to spend on his face up until the actual end of his very life.

Now, put all of the above points together, and a very different picture begins to emerge:

    * Michael Jackson was clearly on a path to self destruction, and no-one on earth could prevent it.

The only thing anyone could do was either watch it happen from a distance or help him carry it out like Dr. Murray did, which is exactly how the story unfolded.

May God Bless you continually for the amazing gifts that you left to this world Michael.

We all love you dearly, and we will miss you forever.

    Peace to all of you.

Conrad Murray was not charged with murder, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter which is a big difference.

Involuntary Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without intent to kill.
They are saying that Murray did not mean to harm Michael when he injected propofol in his system repeatedly.
My thing is, he is a doctor. Therefore, he knows that administering propofol repeatedly outside of a hospital setting, when you’re not an anesthesiologist, combined with other respiratory depressants is like playing Russian Roulette with someone’s life.
He definitely did not have Michael’s best interests at heart.

Months ago when this post was published he was charged with murder. If they’ve downgraded the charge since then that’s another story.

what i dont understand is that Michael Jackson has a job and we all know it is to sing. now Dr. Murray job was to help Michael with certain health issues. my opinion is that is the doctors fault because if you notice a patient is starting to get an addiction to a certain drug like propofol then he,supposedly a liscensed doctor, shouldve known what to do and in fact since he injected Michael with other drugs that were also addicting i feel responsibility lies with the doctor. If he was there to help Michael how Michael died so quick and in fact if he wasnt guilty he shouldnt have fled the scene.Thats my point.
